Li Foong Foo, MD, MRCP, FRCR
Dr. Foo is an alumna research fellow from HSS who has been focusing on using innovative MRI technology to diagnose and monitor postoperative total joint conditions as well as cartilage repair and rheumatoid arthritis.
As a research fellow, Dr. Foo was part of a team working in the Division of MRI at Hospital for Special Surgery. In 2005, the team’s research was recognized with the Charles L. Christian Award for Musculoskeletal Research. She is a member of
the International Cartilage Repair Society, International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and the Royal College of Radiologists (UK).
Dr. Foo’s expertise is Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the diagnosis and research of orthopedic conditions. She will work collaboratively with HSS physicians, maintaining her focus on sports medicine, cartilage imaging, arthroplasty imaging,
and the early identification of rheumatoid arthritis.
